A Pokemon Journey Prologue
This is it, the first day of my journey. Even though most start this journey when they are ten or eleven, I chose to wait until I was eighteen. That way I could have more freedom on this wonderful journey.
Another oddity about this first day, I did not choose to train a charmander, nor a squirtle, nor a bulbasaur. No, instead I told Professor Oak that I would simply like six pokeballs instead of the five that are usually bestowed upon fledgling trainers. I wanted to start a team from scratch with only pokemon that I meet along the way.
Setting out from
Self Portrait
I am me,
Myself and I.
Just like you I laugh and cry.
I endure ordeals,
I think, I feel,
and as a result like you, I am real.
That is not to say I am unorigional,
because each of us is an individual.
What sets me apart,
is a love of the arts;
I happen to be partial,
to those written and martial.
Other than that, I am quite mundane,
though my friends tell me,
at times I'm a pain.
Reading brings me joy,
like a kid with a toy,
sitting down with a good book
is like getting to look
into a whole other world,
one so different from ours.
Where the rules are all diffrent,
though only during the hours
that I choos
You were my first
The one and only
With you gone from my side
My heart feels so lonely
I know that one day someone will lessen the burden
But never will they cause a similar burning
I dream of your touch,
Your voice and your presence
But now that you're gone, the memory's sharpness lessens
Please return to my side,
For without you I'm like a boat out at sea
Trapped in a turbulent tide
Care for the family
Who's love will never end
Care for the people
For one may become your friend
Connect with those around you
Because the knowledge gained is strength
Let those who open up their hearts
Be loved to the greatest length
By you, the one confided in
To be a source of comfort
And in return you will know
And in return you will show
Care
It is what makes humanity
Human
As darkness fell, the moon light spoke to me
and told me that from this place I soon must flee.
As the nocternal beasts began to wake,
They dictated to me what I must take:
Leave your fear and hate behind,
but bring a sharp and thoughtful mind.
This will serve you most in times of need,
and insure that you always suceed.
Leave in your room the hated gun,
for with a blade will your fights be won.
Bring with you not the resolve to kill,
but rather fight using only your skill.
Follow these tips in this time of distress
and they will be proven to be the best
hope for you to survive any ordeal
for they allow your heart to feel
Hop
The Path of life for a man like me,
is often steeped in misery.
I try to love but often hate,
will I ever reach heaven's gate?
I try to laugh but instead cry,
while all the people pass me by.
A wolf like me only has a small pack,
this leaves few to watch my back.
I hope to overcome my sins and
journey to the promised land
I gazed deep into your eyes and saw something there,
That I could not explain, so deeper I stared.
And the longer I gazed the more I was certain,
What I saw was your soul, no longer behind a curtain
And then you spoke, voice ringing so sweetly,
Like the song of an angel, I leaned in discreetly.
Then in a trance, I proposed marriage,
To sweep you away with a horse and a carriage.
When you said yes I dressed in my best,
But disease to soon stopped your heart cold in your chest.
I cried, I raved, I then took a breath,
Realizing we all must give way to death.

Farewell My Love....
Lily felt her heart ache and desperation control her limbs. Stumbling out of the kitchen, she followed Isabelle's footsteps into the fenceless garden. Her breath quick and rasping, she grasped the sleeve of her jacket and swung her around.
Isabelle's cheeks were stained with tears, eyes resolute and distant. Her goodbye lay in the cold flagstones of the kitchen, distilled upon the worn table-top and chairs.
Lily's trembling fingers raced up the harsh fabric of the luminati jacket and gripped the lapels until her knuckles turned white. Her blanket slipped from her shoulders, revealing the plunging neckline of the lacy nightgown.

Joe Cho, an unremarkable lonely man, who had never accomplished anything in his life, but meant a great deal to the three cats he fed on a regular basis and who he pretended filled the void of his pointless existence, sat at his desk in his little fuzzy gray box not working. Across from him, a man-shaped, balding gray blob sat in a swivelly chair, turning oxygen into carbon dioxide and doing very little else.
Gosh, Joe enthused to the blob, Facebook is fun. I just found my old friend Jerry from grammar school back in South Dakota. Hes a plastic surgeon now. Whatta you know!
The blob grunted.
It really
It's all your fault you know
That day by the creek
It was snowing
I waited by the windowsill
For you to come running from your house
We went to our old stomping grounds
By the little river, frozen over like dirty glass
We ran and played in the downy snow
I grabbed you by the wrist
I can't be blamed you slipped and fell
And pulled me down on top of you
We laughed like madmen
As the snow fell around us
And the sun peeked out from behind gray clouds
Lighting up your smiling face
And I can't be blamed that you were beautiful
Your pale cheeks and nose
Turned red with cold
Dark hair flecked with floating snow
Hazel eyes melted to
Hey everybody,
I have been working hard on my series and been writing poetry for a while now... just not here. I have an account on fictionpress and have been posting my story there. But now it will be available here as well, for now. I look forward to seeing all of your comments and reviews. Also know that the series has a Facebook page for the fans to leave suggestions, see character sketches, and have chats with me, the author!
Signed,
